Sun Elves
Personality: The bright elves are said to be the closest in appearance to lord Corellon. This idea carries weight since Corellon has chosen all Sun elves to be his Coronals. Sun Elves also tend to adhere most strongly to Corellon's ideals in their philosophies and ways of life. For the most part they spend their lives trying to master the arts and make all things beautiful to honor their lord. A sun elf may spend 300 years sculpting a single statue or painting a single landscape. Along with this intensity comes a certain level of haughtiness and arrogance. They deplore inappropriate behavior. They are also the first in every argument to be filled with righteous indignation and are always the last to apologize when wrong. Stubborn, pig-headed, and unwavering all describe the usual Sun elf. It should be noted that not a single sun elf left with the traitorous elves that became the drow, this is a great point of pride among them.
Physical Description: Sun Elves are bronze skinned, Hair of gold, copper, black, or golden blond and eyes that are green or gold. It is not unusual for a Sun Elves hair to develop streaks of Bright Silver as they grow older. As children their eyes have tiny gold spots that glint in the light.
Relations: Sun elves tend to run things in Evenseer, they also tend to hold all the high level positions in the church of Corellon. Outsiders may think this is some sort of conspiracy or some sort elven racism. This is not the case. The fact is that the sun elven personalty just lends itself to positions that require intense amounts of organization, tediousness, and "making sure things get done right". In short they are bossy. Sun Elves often find themselves exasperated by most other elves but especially Dark Elves. The few Sun Elves that have had contact with the penitent elves find them to be much like themselves but their inherent stubbornness makes it hard for them accept their relatively new kin. Especially, since they come from the Drow. They get along relatively well with Wood Elves and they admire their religious adherence. They find it quite difficult to relate to halflings, dwarves, and humans. Their shorter lifespans and recklessness is just something Sun Elves don't understand. Gnomes they at least understand but usually don't get along since both races tend to be so contentious. Most everyone has a begrudging friendship with sun elves simply because they do tend to be right and do get things done.
Alignment: Lawful, they tend to be lawful.
Religion: Most Sun Elves tend to worship the Triad but lean towards Corellon. Those that choose to not worship the Triad, Either take an interest in one of the minor deities, that specializes in the same sort of field the elf is in.
Region: Sun Elves live mostly in Evenaseer, but in their youth will make an effort to travel to various academies and center of learning in an effort to perfect their chosen trade in life. They will often take up posts in far off locations for a decade or so, just so they can feel as if they experienced life outside of the elven community and feel as though they have contributed to the world at large in some way.
Language: Sun Elves speak elven and usually magical or heavenly languages. Occasionally they choose to learn one elemental language or another.
Names: Sun Elves name their children after a powerful ancestor, or with a derivative of Corellon or one of his ideals.

Moons Elves
Personality: Moons Elves are said to be the closest in appearance to Sehannie. Indeed the majority of the Sehanals have been Moons Elves. Moons Elves often find themselves in positions of authority or in ambassadorial missions. Their kindness and patience lends itself to dealing with lots of people of different races and religions in trade and missions of peace. However this patience and kindness disappears in the blink of an eye if they perceive that they are being slighted or mistreated in anyway. Many a joking prankster or an tactless fool have found themselves suddenly confronted with a storm of vengeance, or a vicious curse where there was once a cheerful smiling Mithral elf. In dealing with a Moons Elf one should always return their kindness with gratitude and above all respect.
Physical Description: Moons Elves have light sky blue skin, hair that can be silver, white, black, or even light blue, their eyes are blue or green and often have gold or silver twinkling flecks. When they get older their hair becomes a shimmering silvery-white. As children they are stark white.
Relations: Moons elves are incredibly patient and friendly. Moon elves get along with just about every race but to some they come off as a bit coddly. Moons Elves know how to have fun but only do so in Moderation, this can make their relations with dwarves strenuous since dwarves rarely do anything in moderation. Moons elves can also become offended by their tactlessness. Halflings can often push a Moons Elf too far with their mischief.
Alignment: They tend towards good, specifically Neutral good.
Religion: Moons Elves tend to do everything in Moderation including their religious practices. They observe the proper traditions and most holy days but not much else.
Region: Moons Elves live mostly on Evenaseer, but they spend long stretches of time on various missions all over the world. The few that do not live on Evenaseer will try to maintain residences in the Lands of Corellon.
Language: Moons Elves focus on learning languages which will help them relate most to those around them.
Names: Moons Elves often name their children after a caring individual in their past or after a particularly beautiful location.

Wild Elves
_Personality: These elves are the rarest among all the elves, numbering in the few hundreds, they are rarely seen even among their own kind. Wild elves live in the forests of Evenaseer and rarely venture into civilized areas. For the most part they wander, and forage in the woods living a completely natural and carefree life style. The sky is their roof and the grass their bed. Occasionally, a Wild elf may feel a sense of curiosity and venture in the civilized areas around their forest home. At times in their life they may even be struck with wanderlust. This leads them to explore either a new lifestyles, vistas and locations until their wanderlust is satiated. Wild Elves are seekers of knowledge and will dedicate a century or more to learning about wizardry or exploring and living in a completely different continent. Once they feel they have gone as far as they can in a chosen field they grow bored and return to their natural lifestyle deep in the woods without so much of a pang of regret or a second's hesitation. In spite of their some what flighty nature they are loyal to a fault, and make wonderful companions.
Physical Description: Their skin is light or dark green, or varying tones of olive. Their hair is dark gray like the color of tree bark, or deep browns. Their eyes are the same as their hair. Rarely their eyes are a deep violet. As they get older their hair whitens and then becomes silver. Children are usually born much lighter in hair, skin and eye color and darken upon reaching adolescence. Wild elves almost universally adorn themselves with metal jewelry, stones, or beads and often ink themselves with non-permanent dyes.
Relations: Of the other races, Wild Elves get along best with Halflings. They share similar carefree personalities and love of fun, musical arts, interesting topics, and the outdoors. Wild elves rarely associate with gnomes, or the more serious elves. They often find these groups far to dedicated or duty-bound. Wild Elves can get on well with most dwarves for short periods of time right up until war breaks out, or their friend has some obligation or duty to take care of. Unfortunately, the strict structure of dwarven society is just to limiting for the curious Wild Elf, to maintain an interest. Wild Elves get along best with their Dark Elf Kin.
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral to Chaotic Good. Rarely does a wild elf hold onto an emotion long enough to do something so spiteful or malicious as to make them Evil. If they feel slighted they simply move onto something more interesting.
Religion: They show up to every festival, parade and spectacular once in a lifetime event. They love Corellon and Sehanine but find their somber services too repetitive to attend on a regular basis. They do favor Sehanine's chaotic nature over Corallon's Lawful dogma and they have inclinations towards worshiping the various elven nature deities.
Region: Wild elves make little effort to live outside of their birthplace, however, if someone can convince them that somewhere else is fun, they may check it out. Heck if, it is fun, they may live their for a hundred years or so, at least until its not fun anymore.
Language: Wild Elves focus on learning the languages that will help them communicate best in the surrounding areas and ones with many many conjugations and different ways of saying things.
Names: Wild Elves will name their children after interesting people, topics they particularly find fascinating, or with words that can be pronounced multiple ways and have many different meanings.

Wood Elves
Personality: Wood Elves are placid, and insulated. These elves keep mostly to themselves and care not for outsiders. They do their jobs, fulfill every obligation, and are dutiful in keeping their religious holy days. After the work is done they go home and live peaceful lives never bothering anyone or getting involved in other affairs. There are times that they leave their island homes and get involved; when the coronal asks it or they feel that some overriding duty takes precedence over their serene existence. The drow are probably the one exception to this rule. The wood elves will walk through fire to track down and kill a drow they feel is an immediate threat. They feel this is their greatest duty since many of their brothers and sisters where the ones who first fled Evenaseer and became the traitors.
Physical Description: Their skin is copper or sometimes a rusty bronze. Their hair is usually Brown or black but variations of deep reds are not uncommon. Their eyes are green or hazel. Children will often be born with near golden skin, and Jet black hair but within a few months both will change color. The elderly will usually maintain their overall appearance but their ears will grow to incredible lengths._A Warrior Wood Elf will adorn his face with inks and dyes when going to war.
Relations: Dwarves share the Wood Elves sense of order and Duty. Wood Elves respect halflings' love of home, religion, family and tradition even if they don't understand it all. Wood Elves also get along with the Dar'Shy quite well, as they both respect the lands and traditions. Of all their kin Wood Elves get along with the Stoic Snow Elves best and they have been know to share long-lasting friendships. Most Envoys to the northern Elven Lands will be mostly made up of Wood Elves.
Alignment: Wood Elves would be considered Lawful Good if not for their overt and overbearing sense of Duty. If that duty requires that they do something evil or wrong for the greater good they will do it. They will even function as judge. jury and executioner if necessary.
Religion: Wood Elves go through great lengths to observe every holy day, for every single elven deity. They pray often and for just about every situation you can imagine. It is not unusual to hear a wood elf praying in the middle of battle, or while dancing, or it is said even in the middle of love making.
Region: The Woodlands of Evenaseer. While Wood Elves will visit far off lands, and stay there for extended periods of time if a mission or duty requires it, they will always maintain even a small hovel in the Woodlands of Evenaseer and claim it as a residence. With that said they can be found in areas colonized by the elves and in the great woods of the world.
Language: Elven, sometimes even ancient religious dialects of the language. They will often learn sylvan, or terran so they can better speak to the creatures of the Wood.
Names: Wood Elves will often name children after Long lived ancestors and often have strong traditional names in their families. It is not unusual for siblings to share very similar names, such as, Erasmuth, and Erasmus both of which are named after their great-great grandfather Erasthamor.

Dark Elves
Personality: All of the adventurous nature that seems to have been left out of all of the other elves' personalities was clearly placed in this bunch. The closest in appearance to the forgotten goddess Araunshee, they also mimic her original nature the closest. They seek to learn all, see all, and have fun doing it all. They are mischievous pranksters and they love music, dancing, and adventure above all. They are defiant, willful and go out of their way to defy authority. The only Araunal to have existed was originally a Dark elf, and the majority of the drow descend from dark elves. Luckily, not all of this entire fun-loving bunch decided to flee Evenaseer so many years ago, so some of them still remain in the world. Ironically, the majority of half-elves also descend from dark elves since they are the ones most likely to become intrigued by humans or even consider them equals.
Physical Description: Their hair, skin, and eyes vary from light earthy browns to almost black. Occasionally a dark elf is born with gold flecks in their big brown eyes, this is considered a continued assertion from Arvandor that Corellon still considers them his children. The elderly grow darker in their old age. Children will be born with caramel colored skin that will grow darker around adolescence.
_
Relations: Dark Elves love any race that can express a care-free and adventurous nature. They get along best with Wild Elves, Humans who love travel, and Halflings. They also have a distinct love of the prettier, flashier magics, and will often learn evocation and conjuration spells just so they can see them in action. They also love exotic wares and will travel to the ends of the world just to get an authentic Ko-Randian tea set or spice sniffer from the Arrakean desert.
Alignment: The Entire range of Chaotic, even evil. They will go through great lengths to get revenge or something that they really want. They often go through the whole spectrum of chaotic, several times in a single lifetime.
Religion: They never really observe holy days, or any sort of religious adherence. They will occasionally attend a service if they feel it may be exciting or special or unique in some way. Lately, some Dark Elves have gone out of their way to worship the reborn Araunshee, and even set up shrines in beautiful and remote locations around Balbydos.
Region: Anywhere that is tumultuous and full of adventure.
Language: Elven, Magical languages and a smattering of dozens of other languages
Names: Simple elven names mixed with exotic names from far off lands. Examples include Araimor zhao, or Sintheranar Mubaren.

Snow Elves
_Personality: If the elven races were a family, the snow elves would be the little brother who refuses to take sides. When the Araunal fled with her followers she didn’t tell all of them what her plans were. Unfortunately, some of them were left in the dark, and believed that they would return to Evenaseer after they had explored some of the other lands. It was these elves that also first found humans and taught them the basics of magic and civilization. When the Coronal found their fortress they assumed that their brothers and sisters had come to visit them or to ask them to return, never did they imagine that there brothers had come seeking blood, nor could they have imagined that their fellow travelers had tricked them into betraying there kin. As a result, when the war broke out, they stepped aside and disappeared into the cold mountain peaks. Eventually the truth of how these elves were tricked was brought to the attention of the Coronal and he asked them to return to Evenaseer. By then the damage had been done. The cold had changed them over the ages and more importantly they were angry at all their kin. They were mad that they had been tricked, they were mad at the Coronal for setting his armies on his brothers and sisters, and they were mad that their mistress, the Araunal had been killed, and that worship of Aruanshee had all but disappeared. In time, they hoped that their neutral position and non-violent protests would make their kin see the light, that perhaps they could reunify the elven race. So far those prayers have remained unanswered. For the most part their anger has turned to sadness and melancholy. It should be noted that Snow elves pass into the undying lands for but a moment and then return back to Balbydos only ever as a newly born Snow elf, this is part and parcel of their constant protest of their siblings continued war.
Physical Description: Snow elves have white skin, white hair, and deep Icy blue eyes. There is very little variation in skin tone, hair color, or eye color among the snow elves.
Relations: Snow Elves rarely associate with other races. They do however get along well with aged and wisened humans. They also enjoy the company of Methusalians when they can find them. They love Halflings and their kind and warm nature, a traveling snow elf will spend the entire festival month with Halflings if they can. While they do not participate in the festivities, they often stay on the edges of the party and laugh. It is one of the few times the heart of a Snow Elf is lightened. Amongst the Elves, they get along best with Wood Elves for their stoic and traditional behavior, and beliefs. They also have good relationships with the Penitant Elves in particular those that are born Penitant Elves.
Alignment: Lawful Neutral. They rarely favor one course of action over another. Convenience is often the deciding factor in the decision making process. They do favor the status quo.
Religion: Snow Elves worship elven deities that are not members of the Triad. They also worship Sylvan deities. they make a point of NOT performing any of the traditions linked to Corallon.
Region: They stay in their Fortress City of Forod Losa Nost. When they wander they stay in cool temperatures if they can. They will take up in cooler Human Settlements if they find somewhere in particular that they like.
Language: Elven and local regional languages, and any other languages that are convenient for the area.
Names: Ancient Elven names that predate the war. They will also name children after ancient elven heroes or magician. It should be noted that though they speak elven and name their children in the elven tradition their dialect is unusual and often sounds like they are blowing words rather than speaking them.

Penitent Elves
_Personality: Every so often a drow finds that they hate their life. They hate Lolth, they hate slavery, and they hate everything that is drow. Normally, such a drow would certainly either have to run for their lives, remain quiet despite their miserable existence, or die at the hands of their matron mother. In recent times, a small group of drow have rebelled and headed back into the surface world. They banded together in the frozen north and now inhabit the old fortress of “Forod losa nost”. Together they cast a high magical ritual once a year on the longest night of the year, to cleanse themselves of their drow heritage. All so that they can have a lasting chance of peace. They trade all manner of goods with the snow elves. Indeed they appear to be the first glimmer of hope for reunification of the race in the eyes of the snow elves. However there have been a few problems in the process. Though they are allowed into Arvandor, when they return, they come back only as new night elves, and no other elf has been born one. Whether this is by Corellon’s design or by an accident of their High Magical ritual remains to be seen. Even stranger the penitent ones seem to be receiving divine spells from Araunshee. She was presumed to be a dead goddess by the elves and a reborn goddess by the Lolth worshipping drow. But now new questions have begun to arise as to her existence, and hope for a future Araunal might exist in the Night elves. If a Drow is repentant of his ways and wishes to redeem himself in the eyes of Corellon, the night elves perform their high Magical Ritual every year on the holy day of Araunshee.
Physical Description: Night elves have Ash colored or dark grey skin, their hair is silver, white or light gray. Their eyes are deep pools of Amber, black, or brown. It now appears that the children being born in the new generation are receiving gold flecks in their eyes like the dusk elves. The few elderly that exist amongst the penitent elves have slowly become the color of faded marble.
Relations: Penitent Elves get along with the various slave populations they tend to free from the hands of the Drow. Unfortunately, outside of those small groups, most races have a hard time trusting them and often still consider them Drow. Snow Elves are the only race that associates itself with the Penitent Ones and indeed they have quite a good relationship. Wood Elves given them begrudging support and have even gone on raids with them into the underdark. In Essence, the Night Elves are making small in roads back into the world at large.
Alignment: Night Elves run the gamut of alignments though they try their best to avoid evil deeds they have been known to be quite ruthless at times and occasionally they even revert to their old drow ways.
Religion: Faithful Night Elves worship Aruanshee almost exclusively. although, a few have taken to also worshiping Sehanine.
Region: The hills and cave cities below Forod Losa Nost, and some underdark territories.
Language: Undercommon, Elven, and smatterings of various slave languages.
Names: They still use drow names but a few have been leaning towards ancient elven names, and popular snow elf names.

Lesser Drow
_Personality: Lesser Drow are not considered really Drow by their True Drow Masters and often find them selves in positions of second class citizenship. In the rare instances that they are given their dignity or treated in a relatively humane way, they can prove just as sadistic and cruel as True Drow. Lesser Drow women are considered nothing more than breeding stock to fill in the ranks of drow soldiers and slaves. If a woman is born to a noble family she will either be killed out of shame or be used as a means for trade. Often she will be sold off as a concubine or as a handmaiden who can be used by her matron in order to breed a True Drow Daughter that she will claim as her own. It is not unusual for a True Drow Matron to have 15 to 16 lesser drow women as handmaidens to breed a proper heir. In which case the mother is promptly killed. Because of their bleak life options many Lesser Drow women take every opportunity to make themselves useful, and make an effort to prove themselves by being as sadistic and evil as possible (like True Drow). Those women who find a way to survive are usually the most sadistic and cruel of all, as well as, the most clever. The few that are born free find themselves ostracized by almost all of the other races, hated by their enslaved sisters, and despised by the True Drow who dislike her free status.
Lesser Drow Men are used by their masters as soldiers in armies, as fodder in raids, and as general labor. While they are rarely forced into true slave conditions, their behavior and traveling are monitored. They fill in the lesser but necessary ranks in Drow society that cannot be trusted to lesser slaves. It is not unusual for Lesser Drow Men to serve as blacksmiths, slave drivers, animal rears, and various other artisans for their masters. The best possible situation for a lesser drow male to end up in is as a breeding slave for his Matron. Lesser Drow Men try their hardest to make themselves as indispensable as possible and will often try their hardest to master a single craft or art that pleases their Matron Mother. Slave Drivers will make escape seem like such a bad idea for the slaves under him that it is not unusual for slaves to instinctively punish themselves when they so much as think of running away. Lesser Drow Men tend to be focused to an unparallelled degree. The Free lesser Drow Male will often flee as far as he can to get away from Drow society and never turn back.

True Drow
_Personality: After the fall of the Araunal, and the loss of their goddess, the elves that followed Araunshee fled deep into the underdark. After just a few generations the toxic environment, and the electromagnetic forces known as the faezress in the cave walls twisted and warped the followers of Araunshee. Their minds broke and they fell into the worst of depravity. Rumors even have it that they consorted with demons, and eventually their worship of Lolth, originally known as the sleeping goddess, forced her into an awakened state but their demonic and corrupted minds had changed her irreparably. The drow believe that when the Araunal was killed Araunshee fell into a deep slumber, where she dreamt of revenge. Whether this is true or not is up for debate. Lolth claims she is the fallen Araunshee but, honestly who could believe a word she says. She could just as easily be a demonic upstart or another older evil goddess looking for easy worship. Either way she has continued the downward spiral of the Drow. On the whole, True Drow are sadistic, arrogant, cruel, destructive, hedonistic, and treacherous. Their eternal game of advancement at the expense of others, which is encouraged by the spider goddess herself, has transformed the former dark elves into a race of scheming backstabbers eager to increase their own stations by pulling down those ahead of them and crushing their inferiors underfoot. Drow trust no one and nothing, and most are incapable of compassion, kindness, or love (or at the very least, because of the aforementioned rampant distrust, incapable of bringing themselves to express such emotions). In a drow’s mindset, there is little room for friendship, for while they may secretly value other family members or acquaintances, their overly suspicious (paranoid, by some standards) natures taint any strong relations they may otherwise form. Many drow go so far as to be actively murderous and delight in the giving of pain.
Physical Description: True Drow have ebony, obsidian, or jet skin, their hair is white or pale yellow. Their eyes are white or pale lilac. Any deviation from these physical traits makes the Drow a Lesser Drow.
Relations: True Drow form a relatively small portion of the overall Drow population but the majority of the power is concentrated in their hands. A True Drow is considered nobility by anyone below them in station. Even in the rare situation where a True Drow is born outside a noble house they are taken and claimed by a Matron Mother immediately. True Drow do whatever they want and take whatever they want from the slaves under them as well as those drow that are of a significantly lesser station. They often have a strange condescending but overall polite manner. While they will not hesitate to be ruthless when necessary they are restrained in the expression of emotions. They find emotions to be a liability or in the very least a weakness to be stamped out.
Alignment: True Drow Males tend toward Neutral Evil as they need a bit of lawfulness to succeed in a world dominated by Matron Mothers. True Drow Women could care less about what anyone else wants and will do whatever they want whenever they want, so they tend to be Chaotic Evil. A Matron Mother will move towards Neutral Evil as she grows use to the intricacies of her power.
